I approach creating contemplatively, positioning myself to become fully absorbed by the process. Similar to the energetic exchange of an electric circuit, when I draw, each new mark acts in dynamic response to the evidence of my making. Collage offers a similar experience by piecing together anew already developed works on paper each time I return to the studio. Throughout, a personal vocabulary of abstracted celestial imagery overlaps with the everyday, encouraging the viewer to consider the possibility of a cosmos still under construction.
